What is a treatment like?
Getting rid of your wrinkles is a lot easier than you might imagine. Actually, the process is very simple. At your appointment, you will consult with our clinician to discuss the results you want to achieve. He/she will examine your facial muscles to determine the number of Botox/ Xeomin units required to achieve your desired results.
There is both an art and a science to these injections and our clinicians combine skill with careful artistry to ensure our clients get exactly the results they seek. Our clinicians are highly qualified and are scrupulous about maintaining a natural look. Although our clinicians are very good at gauging exactly the proper amount to use for specific results, they’d rather use too little than too much. More can always be added. The goal is to achieve younger-looking faces that look perfectly natural. New clients can feel confident in trusting the judgment and skills of our clinicians.
Using a micro-fine needle, the Botox is injected directly into the muscle that underlies the dynamic wrinkle. It feels like a small pinprick with a little stinging. If you experience any discomfort, an ice pack may be applied. The entire process takes about 15 minutes.
There is no downtime. It is considered a “lunch hour” procedure, meaning you may resume your normal day immediately. However, patients are advised to wait 24 hours before taking part in any strenuous activity. Also, you should avoid lying down for four to five hours following the treatment and to avoid massaging the treated area.
What areas can be treated?Botox (or Xeomin) is most commonly used to erase forehead wrinkles, the glabellar lines (those lines between the eyes), and crows’ feet. Botox is also used on chin creases, the neck line, and for smile lift and eyebrow lift. A not so well-known use for Botox is to combat hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating). In many cases, clients enjoy relief from hyperhidrosis for up to two years after treatment.
