If you experience any discomfort, an ice pack may be applied. The entire process takes about 15 minutes, following which you can resume your daily activities.

Botox involves no downtime. It is considered a “lunch hour” procedure, meaning you may resume your normal day immediately. However, patients are advised to wait 24 hours before taking part in any strenuous activity. You may experience mild post-treatment side effects, such as redness, swelling, and bruising, but not enough to keep you from your daily activities. Also, you should avoid lying down for four to five hours following the treatment and avoid massaging the treated area.

Typically, Botox takes 5 to 12 days for the complete results to become evident. In some cases, it may take up to two weeks before the treated muscles become relaxed enough to see results.
