Sculptra is an injectable biostimulator made of of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and has been around in the Aesthetic Medicine world for a long time, since it was FDA approved in 2004. Sculptra has a liquid consistency and is injected underneath the skin. Once injected, Sculptra incorporates into the tissues and stimulates your body’s natural production of collagen to plump areas of lost volume that occurs with aging and/or weight loss. Sculptra is also FDA approved for the treatment of wrinkles and is known to improve the quality of the skin, giving you a “Sculptra Glow” for years.
