Dermal Fillers offer one of the easiest and quickest ways to make a dramatic, instantaneous improvement in your appearance.

Dermal fillers work by “filling in” facial folds and wrinkles. They do this by replenishing the natural-occurring substances your skin loses as you age. A dermal filler procedure is fast, easy and the results are instantaneous! It’s a simple procedure that will keep you looking refreshed and more youthful.

Popular Areas to be treated with Dermal Fillers:

Lift and Contour the cheeks

As we age we lose volume in our cheeks giving our face a less youthful appearance. Demal fillers are an excellent choice to lift and countour the volume that has been lost. Radiesse, Bellafill or Juvederm Voluma are the best choices of filler for this area.

Enhance lips / Reduce lip lines

Giving a little extra volume to the lips can do wonders for your overall appearance. Lip fillers can also soften or eliminate vertical lip lines. Our injectors have the expertise and creative eye to keep a very natural look. Juvederm XC or  Juvederm Volbella are recommended for this area. Watch Video of patient getting Juvederm

Marionette & Nasolabial Folds

The folds between your nose and mouth (nasolabial folds) and the fold between your mouth and jaw line (marionette lines) can occur or get more pronounced as we age. Most commonly added, Radiesse or Bellafill filler can dramatically take years off your appearance by softening these folds.

Hand Rejuvenation

Radiesse can replenish volume in the hands giving them a more youthful appearance. This treatment goes excellent with IPL PhotoRejuvenation to help build collagen and remove browns spots.

Common Questions:

Here’s what you can expect:

When you arrive for your appointment, you’ll spend some time consulting with our clinician discussing the results you desire. We will help you determine which Filler is best for you. 10-15 minutes before the procedure, the treatment area is numbed with a local anesthetic cream. The Dermal Filler is then injected under the skin with a series of injections using an ultra-fine needle. You will experience little or no discomfort.

The entire treatment takes about 45 minutes and the results of filler are instantaneous. You will walk out looking great. Some swelling and possible bruising is not uncommon after filler treatments but we will send you home with some ice to minimize the swelling and bruising (if any). Your face will immediately take on a more youthful appearance, and that, of course, will make you happy. When you’re happy, you smile more. And there’s nothing more attractive than a young-looking, smiling face.

Dermal fillers are considered a “lunch hour procedure”, meaning you may resume your normal day immediately. Should any bruising or redness occur at the injection site, it will fade within a few days and may be concealed with make up foundation in the meantime.

Although there are several Dermal Fillers on the market, we offer Radiesse, Belotero, Juvederm, Voluma and Bellafill because of their exceptional performance and consistent results. Radiesse, Belotero, Juvederm and Voluma fillers are biodegradable and fully bio-compatible with human hyaluronic acid, and no pre-allergy testing is required.

  • Radiesse is made from calcium hydroxyapatite spheres reconstituted in an aqueous solution. It injects very easily and creates immediate results. After injection, as the water is absorbed by the body, new collagen synthesis is stimulated around the hydroxyapatite spheres to create a long lasting effect, reportedly up 1-2 years. Radiesse is not suggested for use around the lips. Radiesse comes in a 1.5cc syringe and costs $695 per syringe..
  • Belotero is made of hyaluronic acid, the naturally-occurring, volumizing and moisturizing component of your skin. It is a relatively new filler (at least in this country) manufactured by Merz Aesthetics. What makes this product different from the older fillers is that it is a softer gel that more easily integrates into facial skin to smooth out the creases and lines of the face. It is unique in the way that it seamlessly integrates with the skin and adapts to facial contours. Clients treated with Belotero have said that they see immediate results with the reduction of wrinkles but that the results are subtle and more natural compared with other fillers. Belotero comes in a 1cc syringe and the costs $495 per syringe.
  • Juvederm XC is also made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring hydrator. Juvederm results last anywhere from 4 to 12 months depending on where it is placed. Most commonly used in the lips to add volume and help with the vertical lip lines. Juvederm can be used on most areas of the face. Juvederm XC comes in a 1cc syringe and the costs $595.
  • Juvederm Volbella- another member of the Juvederm hyaluronic family, newly approved by the FDA in May 2016. This filler is great for the lips. The main difference between Juvederm XC vs Juvederm Volbella is that Allergan, the manufacturer of Volbella, has enhanced the filler with its proprietary Vycross technology. Vycross involves using a combination of high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid molecules to improve their cross-linking efficiency. What this means for you is that you can expect longer lasting results, up to 12 months in the lips. Juvederm Volbella comes in a .55cc syringe and costs $450 per syringe..
  • Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine is the newest addition to our dermal filler lineup. Newly released, Juvederm Voluma was created to restore lost facial volume especially in the cheeks, cheekbones and chin. It was developed to be smoother than other hyaluronic acid volumizers, making it easier to inject and resulting in a smooth, natural look and feel that can last up to 12-18 months. $695 per syringe.
  • Bellafill tiny, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres are suspended within a base of smooth collagen gel. Once injected, the collagen gel immediately reduces the look of smile lines. Over time, your body uses the microspheres in Bellafill to create a “scaffold” onto which your own natural collagen can develop. This collagen forms a foundation that adds volume to wrinkles, reducing their appearance – and giving you natural-looking results that feel soft and smooth for up to 5 years.  Bellafill comes in a 0.8cc syringe and costs $850 per syringe. Dermal Fillers are especially effective for filling in the nasolabial folds (those lines that extend between the nose and the mouth) and marionette lines (the lines that run from the corner of the mouth and extend down to the chin area.) They are also a popular choice to fill in “smoker’s lines,” those fine vertical lines that often form above the top lip as we age.

For lip enhancement, dermal fillers are perfect for giving lips more volume, shape and attractiveness. Good candidates for lip augmentation are those who have realistic expectations of the outcome. Dermal Fillers can enhance and improve your natural look, but they’re not designed to create a radical change in your appearance. Perhaps you’d like to enhance the cupid’s bow (mid upper-lip) to give your lips a pouty youthfulness. Or maybe you want to erase those fine lines on the upper lip. Or perhaps you want to add overall volume to thin, aging lips. We invite you to come in for a complimentary consultation to learn how we can make the most of your lips.

Dermal Fillers may also be used on hands. Hands often reveal a woman’s age faster than her face does. As we age, our hands lose firmness and plumpness and begin to look bony and fragile, with vein and joint protrusions and thin crepey skin texture. The dermal fillers restore fullness to the backs of the hands as well as reduce the appearance of veins.  A Dermal Filler Hand Treatment is the perfect solution to regain younger-looking hands. On average, it requires one syringe of dermal filler per hand, with results that last up to one year.

When it comes to dermal fillers, client satisfaction is very much dependent on the experience and skill of the clinician performing the procedure. We are proud to have three such skilled clinicians on our staff who understand both the art and the science of this procedure.  Aubrey Phillips PA-C, Carissa Alinat, ARNP, and Ernest McDowell, DMD are all experts at gauging the precise amount of filler to use to achieve a natural-looking result. They have given thousands of injections over the years and treat each client with personal care and attention. No matter which of these experts perform your procedure, you can feel assured you are in capable, experienced hands.

Dermal Fillers are sold by the syringe. Most people only need to purchase one syringe for marionnette lines or nasolabial folds; hands require a syringe for each hand. In treatment areas that require less than a full syringe, unused portions of your syringe purchase will be banked for your future use.
